Gliwicki Zakład Usług Górniczych (GZUG) is a limited liability company, wholly owned by Kompania Węglowa S.A., headquartered in Katowice. The company’s core business is underground mining operations and the comprehensive maintenance of coal preparation plant machinery and equipment.
The scope of mining works carried out by GZUG covers a wide range of activities, including:
- Drilling underground stone, stone-coal, and coal workings,
- Reconstruction of mine workings,
- Equipping mine workings with technical equipment and dismantling existing equipment,
- Repairs of underground structures,
- Underground drilling,
- Construction of independent bolting support and ceiling grouting,
- Reconstruction and construction of large-scale intersections.
Additionally, the company operates a property management business and leases office space in Gliwice at 31B Jasna Street. GZUG also engages in extracurricular education through its Training Department, which specializes in organizing skills-enhancing training courses, particularly those aimed at the mining sector.
