The Maczki-Bór Sand Mine (PMPPW) traces its roots to the Coal Industry Filling Materials Company (PMPPW), which played a key role in coal mining logistics in the Upper Silesian Industrial Region from 1952 to 1991. The company provided rail transport, backfill material supplies, and mining waste management, constituting a crucial element of the region’s industrial infrastructure.

As a result of the division of PMPPW into several independent entities, the Maczki-Bór Sand Mine Sp. z o.o. was established, which operated as an independent company from 1991 to 2001. Following the completion of the privatization process in 2001, the company was incorporated into the CTL Logistics Group – one of the largest logistics companies in Poland specializing in rail transport – where it adopted the name CTL Maczki-Bór S.A.

In 2022, the company passed another important milestone in its history, when on August 24, 2022, the shares of CTL Maczki-Bór were sold to a new strategic investor, who focused on further development and leveraging the company’s unique economic potential. Following this change, the company operates under the name Maczki-Bór S.A., continuing its operations and development.
