Ladies and Gentlemen,

We are honored to announce the 11th International Lignite Mining Congress, which will be held in Bełchatów – Poland’s largest mining and energy region – from April 17 to 19, 2023, under the theme:

“LIGNITE TRANSFORMATION”

Bełchatów will be the capital of not only Polish but also global lignite mining during these days. It will also become a venue for proposals on how to replace lignite in the energy mix in a smart way, with the potential to identify an alternative economic path to coal in the global energy sector.

Academics, specialists, and individuals associated with the mining and energy industries will address economically important issues related to lignite, which is a crucial element in stabilizing Poland’s energy security.
