Important
Please make sure that:

2. Documents confirming eligibility for participation in the project, including:
For persons working in one of the 7 mining subregions of the Silesian Voivodeship: an employment contract or employer’s certificate.
For persons residing in one of the 7 mining subregions of the Silesian Voivodeship: a certificate confirming residence in the project implementation area.
For persons at risk of dismissal: an employer’s certificate confirming that, within the last 12 months, employment or service relationship termination occurred at the workplace for reasons not attributable to employees — Appendix No. 2 to the Regulations.
For persons scheduled for dismissal: a copy, certified by the candidate, of the notice of termination of employment or service relationship for reasons not attributable to the employee, or an employer’s certificate confirming the intention not to extend a fixed-term contract for reasons not attributable to the employee — Appendix No. 3 to the Regulations.
For dismissed persons: a copy of the employment certificate, certified by the candidate, clearly indicating the reason for dismissal, or an employer’s certificate indicating the reason for dismissal if this is not clear from the employment certificate — Appendix No. 4 to the Regulations.
Information from ZUS on the course of social insurance coverage, e.g. US-7 form, including in particular confirmation of no basis for paying social insurance contributions due to employment or other gainful activity.
If the dismissed person is registered as unemployed at the District Labour Office: a certificate confirming unemployed status issued by the relevant Labour Office, valid for 10 days.
If the dismissed person earns income from other gainful activity: a document confirming, for example by contract or employer’s certificate, that the working time is less than half-time.
For persons with disabilities: a copy, certified by the candidate, of a document confirming disability status.
For persons dismissed from the mining sector: an employer’s certificate confirming activity in the mining or mining-related sector — Appendix No. 5 to the Regulations.
Please Note
Copies of required documents, such as employment certificates, must be certified with the clause “true copy of the original” and signed legibly.

Key Information
1. Who may apply?
The project is addressed to persons interested in starting their own business who meet both eligibility criteria:
a) they work or reside, within the meaning of the Civil Code, in the area specified in the Territorial Just Transition Plan for the Silesian Voivodeship 2030, namely in one of the 7 mining subregions of the Silesian Voivodeship: Katowice, Sosnowiec, Tychy, Bytom, Gliwice, Rybnik, or Bielsko;
b) they are at risk of dismissal, scheduled for dismissal, or have been dismissed after 28 May 2021 for reasons not attributable to the employee.
2. Own contribution
A 5.5% own contribution must be added to the planned expenditure.
3. Eligible purchases
The grant may be used to purchase anything necessary to launch and run the business, including a vehicle — but only an electric vehicle. Combustion engines cannot be financed.
4. Security required for the grant
To receive the grant, the applicant will be required to provide security, which will be agreed individually before signing the agreement.
Accepted forms of security include:
a. promissory note;
b. promissory note with aval guarantee;
c. surety;
d. bank guarantee;
e. bank account blockade;
f. mortgage;
g. registered pledge on rights or assets;
h. notarial deed of submission to enforcement by the debtor.
