We are pleased to announce that President Andrzej Duda has announced the convening of a National Security Council meeting, one of the main topics of which will be Poland’s energy security. As the Mining Chamber of Commerce and Industry, we have recently sent a letter on this matter to both the President of the Republic of Poland and all members of the National Security Council.
In our position, we clearly emphasized that in the face of recent blackouts and the uncertainty surrounding the summer season, protecting citizens and ensuring a stable energy supply must be the state’s absolute priority.
In times of dynamic decarbonization and energy transformation, we appeal for responsibility and common sense – transformation cannot come at the expense of energy and social security.
The Chamber’s position is clear: the well-being of citizens and their security should transcend all divisions.
We hope that the upcoming meeting of the National Security Council will provide a platform for substantive, cross-party debate and concrete solutions that will protect the interests of society and the economy as a whole.
