Council of the Mining Chamber of Commerce and Industry
The Chamber Council is elected by the General Assembly. It consists of the President of the Chamber and 10-25 members. The Chamber Council elects a Chairperson, Vice-Chairpersons, and a Secretary from among its members and operates under its own rules of procedure. Chamber Council meetings are held at least twice a year.
The competences of the Chamber Council include:
- appointing and dismissing members of the Chamber's Management Board at the request of the President of the Chamber
- performing activities under the employment relationship with the President of the Chamber
- appointing from its own composition or from the composition of the Audit Committee until the next General Meeting of Members of the Chamber to act as the President of the Chamber in the event of resignation from this function or other circumstances preventing the President of the Chamber from performing it
- setting the directions of the Chamber's activities
- adopting the annual financial plan at the request of the Management Board
- considering appeals against decisions referred to in § 28 section 7 of the GIPH statute, implementing the statutory objectives of the Chamber in accordance with the adopted directions of the Chamber's activities
- establishing the rules for calculating and disposing of the reserve fund, submitting reports on the Chamber's activities to the General Meeting
- interpretation of the provisions of the Statute
- determining the loss of passive voting rights of members of the Chamber Council
- giving consent to organize the delegation and approving its organizational structure, financing principles and competences
- adopting resolutions expressing consent to the Chamber's participation in commercial law companies
- determining the maximum amount of liabilities that the Chamber may incur
- adopting the rules governing the special privileges of GIPH members
- conferring Honorary Membership of the Council upon individuals who have rendered outstanding service to the Chamber
