Chance for (self-)employment – bis
The aim of the project is to mitigate the effects of the region’s ecological transformation through outplacement activities, i.e. assistance in setting up their own business, as part of an individual entrepreneurship path for 70 project participants.

The support is intended to contribute to the creation of new companies established by 70 people affected by the transformation process (39 women, 31 men) working or residing (within the meaning of the Civil Code) in the area of one of the 7 mining subregions of the Silesian Voivodeship, i.e.: Katowice, Sosnowiec, Tychy, Bytom, Gliwice, Bielsko, Rybnik (hereinafter: the OP project area), with the status of people at risk, planned for dismissal or dismissed (in the period after 28 May 2021) for reasons not related to the employee, in the period from 01.06.2024 to 30.06.2026.
The project includes comprehensive support:
Training (max. 48 hours) and business consulting (max. 8 hours) at the pre-business start-up stage, as well as non-repayable start-up funding totaling PLN 100,000.00 net.
The project’s expected outcomes include 70 jobs created (through self-employment) by individuals who received comprehensive project support in line with the service delivery standard.
The condition for receiving funding is:
- Belonging to the target group:
a. you work or reside (as defined in the Civil Code) in the area specified in the Territorial Plan for Just Transformation of the Silesian Voivodeship 2030, i.e., exclusively in one of the 7 mining subregions of the Silesian Voivodeship: Katowice, Sosnowiec, Tychy, Bytom, Gliwice, Rybnik, and Bielsko-Biała;
b. you are at risk of, scheduled for, or have been dismissed (in the period after May 28, 2021, i.e., after the date of signing the Social Agreement on the transformation of the hard coal mining sector and selected transformation processes in the Silesian Voivodeship) for reasons unrelated to the employee.
- Submitting recruitment documents in response to the announced recruitment

- Qualifying for the second stage of recruitment, i.e. an interview with a careers advisor
- Signing the project participation agreement
- Taking part in training and business consulting
- Preparing a business plan and receiving a positive assessment of its verification
- Establishing a business in a town located in one of the 7 subregions: Katowice, Sosnowiec, Tychy, Bytom, Gliwice, Rybnik and Bielsk
- Signing of the grant agreement
- Providing security for the return of support received:
- surety (1 guarantor for every PLN 33,000 of subsidy),
- promissory note with bill of exchange guarantee (aval),
bank guarantee, - pledge on rights or property,
- bank account blockade;
- Settlement of the subsidy granted
(invoices, transfers confirming purchases in net amounts)
- Own contribution of 5.5% of the granted support
- Maintaining business activity for at least 12 months
(including confirmation of actual business activity, confirmation of payment of social security contributions).
