On May 26 of this year, another workshop in the series of innovation workshops for entrepreneurs, inventors, and technology pioneers took place, focusing on the field of medicine.
The workshop was led by Dr. Marcin Baron from the Department of Strategic and Regional Research at the University of Economics in Katowice, an expert in innovation and regional policy.
During the workshop, Mr. Zbigniew Nawrat, President of the International Association for Medical Robotics, an academic at the Medical University of Silesia, and Director of the Silesian Medical Robotics Center, presented his expert lecture titled “Health: Service, Assistance, or Obligation? On People and Technology, on Needs and Possibilities, on Home, City, Silesia, and …” was presented by Mr. Zbigniew Nawrat, President of the International Association for Medical Robotics, an academic at the Medical University of Silesia, and Creative Director at the Prof. Zbigniew Religa Foundation for the Development of Cardiac Surgery in Zabrze,
In addition, the following individuals shared their experiences with us:
- Dr. Bogumiła Kowalska from the Marshal’s Office of the Silesian Voivodeship—Regional Innovation Strategy Department: Management of Innovation and Technological Development in the Silesian Voivodeship—Network of Regional Specialized Observatories (SO RIS);
- representatives of the Silesian Entrepreneurship Center, and
- Ms. Izabela Czeremcha from the Upper Silesian Market Entrepreneurship Accelerator, Ltd. Smart Specialization of the Silesian Voivodeship—MEDICINE.
The goal of the workshop is to create a database of innovative technological solutions in the field of energy transition and climate neutrality. In particular, the workshop will analyze how these solutions relate to the regional smart specializations of the Silesian Voivodeship. The workshops will facilitate closer cooperation and knowledge exchange among entities involved in the development of innovations and their broader application to support economic transformation in the Silesian Voivodeship.
