About the event:
Future Mining Forum & Expo is one of the key events dedicated to the future of mining, the extractive industry, raw material security, and modern technologies for the industrial sector. The event will take place on 9-11 September 2026 at the International Congress Centre in Katowice.
Future Mining Forum & Expo will bring together representatives of industrial companies, manufacturers and distributors of machinery and equipment, leading technology providers, experts, investors, institutions, and entities responsible for raw materials policy. The event will connect the world of traditional industry with new geology, technology, innovation, and raw material security.
The format of the event is based on three complementary pillars: the Future Mining Forum industry conference, the Future Mining Expo trade fair, and the Industrial Tech & Innovation Zone. The Forum will provide a platform for discussion on the opportunities, risks, and new operating models for mining in the context of current needs and the long-term transformation of the sector. Future Mining Expo will combine the more than 40-year tradition of the International Fair of Mining, Power Industry and Metallurgy with a modern approach to presenting technologies, raw materials, and the extractive industry. The Industrial Tech & Innovation Zone, in turn, will showcase solutions where technology meets raw materials — from automation and robotics, AI, and data analytics to mining tech, battery tech, and clean technologies.
The thematic scope of the event will include, among others, mining machinery, raw material processing, aggregate technologies, technological transport and industrial logistics, automation, digital mines, industrial power engineering, metallurgy, metalworking, hydraulics, pneumatics, drive systems, environmental protection, geology, geodesy, occupational health and safety, and specialist mining services.
The event will feature discussions devoted to the most important challenges facing the raw materials and industrial sectors. The programme will include topics such as the global copper market, critical raw materials and rare metals, the future of coal-based power generation, energy security, the transformation of mining regions, the aggregates and construction raw materials market, metal recycling, low-emission raw material processing, and the role of Polish companies in global mining supply chains.
Future Mining Forum & Expo will provide an opportunity to exchange knowledge and experience among representatives of industry, science, public administration, business, and institutions responsible for the development of the raw materials sector. The event will create a space for dialogue on the future of mining, security of raw material supplies, industrial competitiveness, technological innovation, and the directions of transformation for the extractive industry in Poland and Europe.
The Mining Chamber of Industry and Commerce is the Main Institutional Partner of the event.
