This guide was developed for the Industry Promotion Program for Mining Machinery and Equipment as part of the Ministry of Economy’s systemic project titled “Promotion of the Polish Economy on International Markets” (Sub-measure 6.5.1 of the Operational Program for Innovative Economy). The publication was prepared in English and Spanish. It contains information on Polish manufacturers of machinery and equipment used in underground mining, open-pit mining, and borehole mining, as well as companies providing services to the mining industry.

The publication contained information on products and solutions representing the latest achievements in environmental protection during mine operations, meeting the European Union’s requirements in this area, and holding ISO 14001 environmental management certificates. Most of the products promoted in the Guide were new solutions designed to enhance safety in mines. Through the use of innovative technical solutions (flameproofing, arc-proofing, etc.), they enhanced explosion safety. The publication also included descriptions of equipment and machinery used in new mining techniques (including gas and oil extraction).

The Directory was published in both print and electronic formats – on CD. Entries for individual companies were listed in alphabetical order by name.
