The Mining Chamber of Industry and Commerce, on behalf of the University of Economics in Katowice, its partner in the “Regional Observatory of the Transformation Process 2.0 (ROPT 2.0)” project, cordially invites you to a workshop for key stakeholders in the transformation process of the Silesian Voivodeship, dedicated to the social and economic future of the Silesian Voivodeship’s subregions.
The workshops will be led by experts from the Faculty of Spatial Management and Regional Transformation at the University of Economics in Katowice – Dr. Artur Ochojski and Dr. Marcin Baron, who have prepared seven moderated workshops for you. They will be held in the main cities of the subregions according to the following schedule:
- October 10, 2025 – Katowice Subregion (workshop location – Katowice)
- October 10, 2025 – Tychy Subregion (workshop location – Tychy)
- October 24, 2025 – Rybnik Subregion (workshop location – Rybnik)
- November 7, 2025 – Gliwice Subregion (workshop location – Gliwice)
- November 7, 2025 – Bielsko Subregion (workshop location – Bielsko-Biała)
- November 14, 2025 – Bytom Subregion (workshop location – Bytom)
- November 14, 2025 – Sosnowiec Subregion (workshop location – Sosnowiec)
The purpose of the meetings will be to briefly present the results of a multidimensional assessment of the situation in the subregions, prepared by the team at the University of Economics in Katowice, and to exchange views with representatives of local governments, businesses, NGOs, and community leaders on key processes that may determine the future of the transformation. The meetings will begin at 10:30 AM and last approximately 2–2.5 hours.
