The 35th edition of the School of Underground Mining took place on February 23-25, 2026. The event once again provided a platform for substantive discussion on the future of Polish mining.
The President of the Mining Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Janusz Olszowski, delivered a lecture during the plenary session “Systemic Transformation of Mining – Security of the State, Economy, People, and Information” on the topic “The Impact of Hard Coal Mining Closure on the Loss of Public Revenue.”
In his speech, he emphasized the importance of discussing not only mine closures but also the economic impact of the energy transition and the possible financial consequences for the public sector.
We thank you for the invitation to participate in the conference and all participants for the valuable discussion!
