Meeting with the Mongolian delegation in Katowice

On April 16, 2026, a meeting was held at the headquarters of the Mining Chamber of Commerce and Industry with a delegation of representatives of the State Great Khural – the Parliament of Mongolia – and representatives of the Mongolian mining sector.

The delegation was led by the Ambassador of Mongolia to Poland, Ms. Oyundari Navaan-Yunden, along with Mr. Zoljargal Jargalsaikhan, Chairman of the Mongolian-Polish Parliamentary Group of the State Great Khural of Mongolia, Mr. Mendbayar Erdenedavaa, Secretary of the Mongolian-Polish Parliamentary Group, and Mr. Baatarjav Lkhagvajav, President of the Mongolian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

The visit provided an excellent opportunity to exchange experiences and showcase the potential of the mining companies associated with the Chamber.

Guests also learned about the key areas of activity of the Mining Chamber of Commerce and Industry, including support for member companies in both the traditional mining sector and diversification processes, energy transition, and the implementation of modern technological solutions.

The mining sector in Mongolia is a key pillar of the economy, accounting for 25-30% of GDP and over 90% of exports, primarily coal, copper, and gold. Currently, the sector faces new challenges, primarily related to the development of new coal resources and the construction of new mines.
