The Mining Chamber of Industry and Commerce, together with the Embassy of the Argentine Republic in Warsaw, invites entrepreneurs, representatives of the mining sector, technology suppliers, and investors to participate in the 15th edition of the international seminar “Lithium in South America.”
The event will take place on October 7–8, 2026, in San Salvador de Jujuy, Argentina. The seminar is organized by Panorama Minero—a specialized mining industry publication celebrating its 50th anniversary in 2026.
“Lithium in South America” is one of the most important events dedicated to the lithium sector in the so-called Lithium Triangle, comprising Argentina, Chile, and Bolivia. It is in this region that a significant portion of the world’s lithium reserves is concentrated, a resource of strategic importance for the development of electromobility, the energy sector, and the production of energy storage systems.
The seminar serves as an international platform for knowledge exchange, the presentation of investment projects, and the establishment of business contacts. The event brings together representatives of mining companies, technology and service providers, investors, public administration, academia, industry organizations, and experts from many countries.
Event Theme
The conference program will include, among other things:
- the current status and outlook for the most advanced lithium projects underway in South America,
- the situation on the global lithium market and forecasts for lithium prices,
- the political and economic conditions affecting the sector’s development,
- new technologies used in lithium mining and processing,
- issues related to sustainable development and mitigating the environmental impact of mining operations,
- the growth of electromobility and the rising demand for batteries and energy storage systems.
According to forecasts, this year’s edition of the event will bring together representatives from over 300 companies from more than 25 countries. The organizers also expect to hold more than 2,800 B2B business meetings, which will allow participants to engage in direct discussions with potential partners, investors, suppliers, and representatives of the public sector.
